yawn! Is approaching tjc-esque levels of getting angry at his television

Not surprised this happened in the Northeast. M O here is if it's anything new you talk trash on it for a few months so you don't seem too eager to be cool. RIP little buddy

The stated goal HitchBOT's creators was this:

"To see whether robots could trust humans."

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

Thread title should be "HitchBOT Remembered" followed by a tasteless photo of its mutilated body with a gratuitous message like "May We Never Forget"

Not sure if hitch-hiking is best way to judge this. Hadn't they ever heard not to hitch-hike/pickup hitch-hikers over safety concerns?

Old City so this was most likely a brah out and about looking for one armed chin ups. Failing that, he took out his roid rage on the nearest thing that couldn't hit back.

I wonder what Hitchbot said to the guy in the Cunningham jersey to make him turn around and give a couple more kicks? Something about the Eagles, maybe?

Can't confirm but from the video it looks like the brand decals are still on the brim of the hat. Thought that was out of style.

Whole thing is starting to feel like a hoax. Guy who allegedly "found" him this way has history of being a fame whoring cheek.

It's a great hoax, real wwe style buildup of fcking with people's emotions.

So this was a hoax? Was the robot really destroyed and these guys just made fake footage of it?

This just shows the sad state of news/media today.

1. Why is this even a story that is not only going viral, but getting major play all over the news
2. Someone just puts something on twitter and everyone reports it as fact. Perfect microcosm of journalism today

"I just think someone saw it, probably came out of a bar and was drunk and beat the crap out of it," Philadelphia police Detective Joe Murray told the Philadelphia Daily News.

"Leaving it in Old City on a Saturday night is probably the worst idea ever. Anything could happen."

This is where America is in 2015. People losing their shit over a talking trash can and a lion in Africa

Yeah, if the thing would have gotten left in Fishtown, nothing bad would have happened. Hipsters love this kind of crap.

If hitchbots could get concealed carry licenses all this would have been avoided.
