BerenstEin Bears or BerenstAin Bears?

How do you remember their name being spelled. I would have bet all the money in the world it was BerenstEin. I need to dig up my old books and see for myself that it has been BerenstAin all along. My mind was blow reading about this on the internet today.

Yes - that could very well be the reason why most people thought it was BerenstEin? Similar to Einstein etc

I always pronounced it like "Bearnsteen". There was a Saturday morning cartoon, so I assume that I learned it from there.

It's funny my 4 year old watches this show-they re-did the series with new episodes in the past 10 years or so and it's popular again. During the theme song they clearly pronounce it with an "A". I even said, that's funny I swear it was with an "E" when I was a kid. Something is definitely going on...

it has been the same all along - you are just dolts.
that whole series of bear tales has been a family project for years. the father passed away but the son has carried on the biz - the mom has been there all along. saw the son speak at an event - nice work if you can get it.
draw lame-ass cartoon bears, put them in weak, trite stories - whore them out to a tv series - roll in the dough - rinse, repeat.

Clearly a play on the jewish surnym "stein". Calling jewish people a "stain" on society very subtlely. I believe Goebbels was an initial financial backer of the "The Bears Learn to Concentrate" series
