Buzzed through aziz ansari's new netflix original, master of none. Good enough for the 5 hour commitment.
I like it but I agree on the dialogue. Some scenes come off like 4 people taking turns reading lines from the same stand up bit. The conversation seems unnatural, like they're all expressing one person's perspective.Watched the first episode and liked it's "tone" despite some thin dialogue.
One one hand, the dialogue can be clumsy. On the other hand, shows like this would never see the light of day if they went through the old network model with a bloated staff that would have ironed out the script a little better.I like it but I agree on the dialogue. I just started watching it last night and thought it was very good. Agreed, too, that they really stereotyped the Japanese characters.Just binge watched a bunch of The Man In The High Castle on Amazon. Can't praise it enough - interesting concept, well executed, good pace, top notch acting, unintentionally funny japanese acting
I am sure he was really upset about you leaving.. I'm sure he was too high to notice.

I like Aziz. Wish they dropped Craig Robinson into the hole in the ground early on in This Is The End instead.
Is there a dumber skit in comedy than that "Take Yo Panties Off" piano bullsh*t he does? Saw him do stand-up at Helium about 4 yrs ago. My God, he sucked. He was drunk and high as f*ck and did nothing but sing stupid karaoke songs on his keyboard the whole show. The yo-yo's around us loved it, we walked out during the last "skit". I'm sure he was too high to notice.
I buy just about everything from Amazon. So, between the special deals, the free Prime content and the free shipping, it's about the best $100 you can spend.Yeah I think it works though. The Japanese back then really exuded the stereotypes - I mean, seppuku was a regularly committed act. If they were willing to do that then clearly they valued honor and discipline and such. Just comes off as pretty funny. The Trade Minister and Chief Inspector are great characters.
