Blizzard hitting NE corridor this week

Do you think TJ Corbs Corbs might come out of retirement to cover the event on the streets? Storm is predicting to be hard hitting.

Definitely working from home on Tuesday. Wondering if tomorrow is going to be worth going to the office for.

I'm supposed to be in California to meet an expert on Wednesday. I think the chances of my flight getting out on Tuesday afternoon are pretty close to 0.

Sounds like the name of a SyFy movie, 5.0. Joe, the weather report says you can get to work but going home could be an adventure.

"Change your plans, change your behavior, change your approach starting right now," NYC Mayor de Blasio urged Sunday.

Flying into SFO but will be staying an hour outside the city by my guy's lab. Might have to do the whole think via Skype or some bullshit if this storm keeps me on the ground.

There's no better place to be than Manhattan right after a big snowstorm ends. All the people are out walking around and very friendly and the bars are packed. I had some of the best times of my life when that happened. Is it still the same way now?

Pretty much except everyone goes to Starbucks. They shut down bars in NYC years ago. Thanks a lot Obama.

Yeah, there were plenty of CoDBers packing into PJ Clarke's on 3rd two days after Hurricane Sandy too. Great people.

AHHHH the life of being retired..........nothing to do, but to bust balls on bench warmers........hoping the Snow removal crew gets a good night sleep.......I'll have a couple of pots of hot JOE waiting........life in the Bucks County Condo is great....

Life in a Bucks County Condo sounds like a sentence term. Regardless, Juno appears to miss Northern VA-DC. Unfortunately tomorrow had an entire day of meetings cancelled because flights from West Coast can't get in. Blows.

I was supposed to fly from LGA to ORD this morning but my flight got canceled last night before a single flake dropped. Some Nutter level shit. I'm now being bounced around the country by Delta in hopes of getting there by Wednesday morning.

Same, I hate to agree with TJC, but nights like tonight are one of my favorite nights to stop by the local watering hole.

NYC Mayor: 'Reconcile Yourselves With Your God, For All Will Perish In The Tempest'
700.hq.jpg

NEW YORK-As a major winter storm continued its advance toward New York City, Mayor Bill de Blasio advised residents Monday to make peace with whatever higher power they call God, for all shall meet their death in the coming tempest. "The furious hoarfrost bearing down upon us knows neither mercy nor reason, and all within the five boroughs will perish, cowering in their brittle dwellings," said de Blasio, adding that none would find succor from the gale save those favored by providence to pass quietly in their sleep. "This shall be a tempest the likes of which has never been glimpsed by man or beast. Clutch your babes close to your breast and take small comfort in knowing that they will howl for but a few hours before death becalms them forever." De Blasio added that, barring an unexpected intensification in the storm, normal subway and bus service would resume Wednesday.

Nutter already declared a State of Emergency. There's not a flake on the ground. As Mayor's go, he's the polar opposite of Larry Vaughn
