Then again, we are talking about St. Joe's fans:
CSN Philly - NCAA: St. Joe's congratulated Nova and people are freaking out
The official Twitter account of St. Joe's Hawks Athletics sent out a nice congratulatory message today directed at their rival the Villanova Wildcats.
It was a classy, harmless message that read, "Rivalries are built on respect. Congratulations to our biggest and best. #Big5#THWND#LetsMarchNova," and had a photo of a building on St. Joe's campus that had a banner that crossed out the "beat" in "beat Nova" and replaced it with "congrats."

It seemed like a nice gesture.
But WHOA BOY some people are not happy about it.
@tfin570 @Sperl14 @SJUHawks I've never been as embarrassed with my alma mater as I am now.

@SJUHawks tell me the last time Duke congratulated UNC with a banner on campus...this is a joke not respect

@SJUHawks I don't think the Yankees flew a banner in NYC when the Red Sox won the WS

@SJUHawks this is worse than when you put a pro-Temple banner up on the McShain bridge

.@SJUHawks as one of the idiots that put time and effort into making the actual "beat nova" sign... I disapprove of this message @lempkaa

see, @SJUHawks, none of this happens. These aren't built on respect that's why they're rivalries. You just gut punched your entire community

@Bill_ennium @SJUHawks WHAT in God's name is that?!? That is an atrocity. How about we don't say or do anything at all positive or negative
