Cherry on the first team, JR second team. How the hell can you not put the best player in the country, JR, on the first team? Vern Adams from Eastern Wash beat him out.
Both Nova stars are juniors.

It is bizarre. However, I believe it was a different voting body, the AP. The voting may have gone on simultaneously, and they may not have realized our guy was going to be the Payton Award winner. Or maybe they just thought Adams was better. Adams was out for 3-4 games. Not his fault, but our guy played injured most of the season, broken hand, and hip pointer and was sensational. He was not only the best QB in FCS but the best Player Period. Maybe they will issue a retraction.

Next year, barring injury-setbacks, VU fans could be in for a treat, especially if we can keep qwe off the FB Board. That moron really incensed me at times this season, admittedly.
