Durham averaged 1.6 points and 1.5 rebounds in 8.3 minutes for UConn last season coming off an ACL injury. At 6-11, he has intriguing size and was ranked 47th in the class of 2016. He averaged 22.9 points, 10.2 rebounds and 4.7 blocks as a junior in high school before missing his senior season with a torn ACL in his other knee.
The two separate ACL injuries are a concern. The quiet numbers at UConn are concerning as well, but he was behind two seniors in 7-0 Amida Brimah and 6-10 Kentan Facey, and was likely battling to get back into basketball shape and regaining his timing and edge. That being said, a player with that size who put up those numbers in high school and who was ranked top 50 in his class will definitely get your attention.
Not sure how much of a player Nova really is here, but it's something to keep an eye on. With uncertainty around how long Omari Spellman will be around or how the 2018 class will shake out, it could be an area Jay Wright would like to address.
