Will definitely be watching this tonight in memoriam.

"fame" and "let's dance" were his two biggest american chart hits; i've seen it suggested--and supported somewhat--that the crossover appeal of both singles to black record buyers helped push sales #s. he did soul train a couple of times, i think

that "queen bitch" guitar riff is one of my favorites. this dude was awesome. lame start to the week

Probably one of the most innovative and influential artists of our generation. RIP.

Changes.....Heroes and his contribution on Sweet Jane were by far his best work...

David Bowie was blown away by SRV at Montreux and had him play on 'Let's Dance'. Love the 'rebel rebel' riff, too. RIP.

First Lemmy, now Bowie, who's going to be #3? Hopefully it won't be for a while-we are starting to lose a lot of the greats.

Most interesting thing that I've learned today: Iman was previously married to Spencer Haywood

When I lived in NYC, I went to a Bowie concert @ MSG. The show started with a flying saucer descending from the ceiling as he sang "Space Oddity." It was fantastic and close to the best concert I've ever seen.

I went to one David Bowie show at PNC Bank Arts Center in 2004. It was pouring rain the entire time so the only people on the lawn with us were either very drunk or creepy David Bowie superfans. As 20 year olds just home from college for the summer, we were representing the former.

It was a great show but the highlight was my buddy getting shot down by a girl standing next to us. He kept trying to talk to her but she shushed him, pointed at the stage and said, "That man is my fantasy."

Can you imagine if some Marquette fan came on here looking to talk hoops and saw 2 David Bowie Remembered threads and notice some retard posted it hours after the other guy. They would think we are dumber than we really are.
