The Battle 4 Atlantis kicked off with an upset, as Tennessee knocked off #18 Purdue 78-75 in overtime. Entering the tournament, the expectation was a matchup between Purdue and Villanova in the second round. Now, if the Cats handle Western Kentucky, they will instead face the Volunteers.

Tennessee did a great job at neutralizing Purdue big man Isaac Haas (13 points, just three rebounds) and Purdue got just four points from its bench.

Forward Grant Williams was great for the Vols with 22 points and eight rebounds. Kyle Alexander added a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Lamonte Turner provided a big boost off the bench with 17 points.

The Cats tip-off shortly looking to set up a date with the Vols.
