I would say Seriously, Clark.....but this is no joke.

So I will instead just say....Seriously, motherf*cker?

God damn can we ever realistically expect this guy to even play half an NBA season?

He cant even avoid hurting himself in practice.

Sixers. Phils. Flyers. Eags. Man, stellar times right now.

Win the chip, Nova. Please.

Yeah all the GMs who haven't won dick and are all about constant lineup turnover and jettisoning all star players are geniuses. Ask Billy Beane. He's the godfather of this movement. Hinkie and Chip Kelly are recent disciples.

No one knows. Just Gdog over-reacting way too early. If he broke his foot again then he wouldn't be in a boot. It could be a sprained ankle for all we know. Take a breath and let play out. He's not playing for another 8 months anyway. Heck, maybe they told him to throw the boot to remove any idea of him playing this year, which they obviously want no part of.

Lot of folks seem to think his pregame warm ups and subsequent video distribution of said warm ups on social media brought a rebuke from the league. I feel like you would hear a lot more about this if it was anything other than the Sixers trying to avoid additional scrutiny of the redshirt season x2

I hope that's what this really is because if he did hurt his foot again that would be brutal.

Dont feel like finding the link, but there has been video floating around the interweb of Embiid going between his legs and dunking in pregame. Now suddenly has minor setback. hmmmmmm

Ringbell, I've been watching video for weeks of Embiid working out before games and he dunks in every single one of them. The between-the-legs dunk had nothing to do with it. The visit to the doctor's was a scheduled visit and planned before he put the boot on for general soreness. Noel had general soreness last year and he's been fine this year. I think people are overreacting, just as Brett Brown stated yesterday.

Haha! You guys are overreacting. It's just a guy who is missing an entire NBA season because of a stress fracture exhibiting symptoms of another stress fracture. Ommmmmmmmmmmmmm. Truuuuust in Hinkiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeee. Ommmmmmmmmmmm.

You know who really loves Chip Kelly right now: Sam hinkie.

The same things were said about Noel last year and he's been mostly healthy this year. I remember it clearly. You saying the same things about a kid sitting out the year with a torn ACL.

It's real simple. If next season comes around and he's not ready to play at the beginning of the season, then it won't be an overreaction. He was never going to play this year.

Cheated? No.....

Here's why. They last won a title in '83. They have only been to the finals once since then, '01. For the most part, with a bushel of head coaches and front office people, nothing has worked. I repeat, nothing has worked. So, I really don't find much harm in allowing this guy to try his plan. It's very possible that it doesn't work. It's not easy to win the NBA and it requires a bit of luck. It's juts counterproductive to sit around and bitch about every single thing that happens. Why subject yourselves to such a thing?

It's fun to follow a losing team (on a sports boards) & see peps defend them over & over

It's not defending them. I'm in a wait and see approach instead of the bitch every day approach. There's a difference.

Fixed.

I'm not sure. I don't know anything about domestic violence victims.

So, your recommendation is to just stop caring about the team and being a fan?

If I was on here guaranteeing titles, then I'd deserve this type of critiquing, but I'm not doing that. I'm riding it out.

How am I delusional?

What am I saying that is delusional? What guarantees have I laid out? what absolutes have I declared?

So, you think his plan is stupid? I think it's as good as any other this organization has implemented over the last 3 decades, so I'm willing to see it play out. And that makes me delusional?

Why do you guys get offended that myself and others don't take the same approach as you? Really? Why is me being hopeful and optimistic so bothersome to you?

I get it now. You and ND hate the plan. It has been duly noted, so you don't have to remind us every time some Sixers' conversation comes up.

I agree with Burrs in that having this argument again is pointless. A week ago Embiid wasn't going to play at all this season, and the same is true today.

And I also agree with Burrs that Noel created the same arguments last year. "Using a top pick on an injured center is stupid". Noel is already a defensive anchor.

I don't think Noel's situation has very little to do with Embiid's. Just like Ralph Sampson's has very little to do with Embiid's. Despite the similarities, the fact is everyone's body is different. I'm in Buddha mode as well for now

I am pleased with Noel's progress. Which can only mean Hinkster will deal him when he drafts Okafor or Towns.

Snottie, I agree all injuries/players are different. I'm not comparing that part of it. I am comparing that people said the same things about Noel last year.

Gdog, hinkie can trade Noel, but it better be for a young, rising player, at position that can help them. Not for a draft pick two years from now. My patience allowed for one such move.

Isn't Noel "young, rising player" at a position that can help them?

How many more seasons do you think we should be in a wait and see approach for the Sixers' plan to work before calling it a failure?? 2? 5?

I would say if there is not serious development by the end of the season after next, meaning playoffs and you can clearly see where the team is headed, then you have to completely abandon ship.

It's very zen of you to be able to brightside over the sound of snapping draft pick bones.
It's important to be able to find serenity in a world that's spinning out of control.

Nardi, yes Noel is that. However, if at some point they had Embiid, Saric is here, and say they draft a Towns/Okafor early next year. Maybe get a Myles Turner/Cauley-Stein with one of the other picks, then obviously front court players will be expendable in order to maybe grab a good SF or wing player. I'm not endorsing trading Noel at all. I like his development so far this year. All I'm saying is that I won't mind trading from a position of strength for something of need, just as along as it's a player for a player.

I don't want them reaching for a position of need. If the best player available is a front court player then get him and figure the rest out later.

You feel me, buddy?
