Would be 10-3-1 if games ended with 75 seconds left.

Solid team. Eli is a sure fire HOFer.

Hopefully they lay down for the Eagles in Week 17. Eagles have owned them lately. Which can only mean one thing...

Gdog,

I have a betting question, need your advice so I can maximize my units.

I have a $10 bet on eagles to win SB at 300/1.
I have a $10 bet on eagles to win the NFC Pennant at 150/1.

If they make the playoffs, I should be locked into some money. I was thinking, bet $200 on their opponent round 1 (if opponent wins, I get $200 and only lost $20). Bet $400 on their opponent round 2 (if opponent wins, I win $400 and lost $220). Bet $750 on their opponents round 3 (If opponent wins, I win $750 and lost $620). I'm sure with spreads, there is a way to do this better. What do you think?

Depends on the money line of each game. Unlikely even money each game. Let game 1 ride for $40 bucks, big shot. Lock in decent size from then on.

I did the same with Nova in the tourney a couple years back, i think 25/1. Only made sense if they made Elite 8.

They arent winning the NFC or the Super Bowl, for one. Eagles are gonna likely play Seattle in that 4-5 game (if they make it). Seattle will be approx a 4 point road favorite. They will be at least -200 on the moneyline, maybe -250. You can only hedge on ML bets and not spread bets for obvious reasons. So consider that and go from there. If the Eagles somehow beat Seattle they're likely looking at a game in Carolina where they're gonna be 7-10 point dogs and Carolina a -350 to -500 favorite. You cant hedge on spread bets because you can lose both ends. To be honest, there's no way for you to logically hedge on a bet like this because of the juice that will be involved in these moneylines.

I think the best answer is to take chances against the Seahawks on the 20. If eagles are -500 against panthers, bet $100 on panthers (to win $120). That would cover the original 20.

Losing that $100 on the panthers, I'd be down $120 going into NFC game with a chance to win $1500. Whoever they play will probably be -300 at that point. Bet $600 against the eagles to win $200. Worst case I'm up $80 units. Best case I'm up $830 going into SB with a chance to win $3,000. Revisit the ML then.

Giants fan here but to be honest my overall interest in the NFL has been down this year. The league is run like WWF wrestling. Half of the stories area bout crap that doesnt even happen on the field. I havent watched much since week 4 or 5 because I am sick of it. I even found its not worth watching for Fantasy purposes, as I am in the finals of my league and all I do is set my line up based on what ESPN tells me to do, fantasy football is not rocket science like many people think.

Last week has probably set me over the edge with watching until the Superbowl. Carolina brings bats on a field? A guy is mad because of the shoes ODB wore the week before? Guys are slapping each other like little girls? One guy tries to spear another guy Goldberg style? Literally it sounds like the WWF, oh yeah and all offseason we talked about a pretty boy cheating in a playoff game.

Man what happened to the game, use to be enjoyable, now it sucks big time.

This season has been a joke in total and probably one of the least entertaining football season as a whole in a long time, great job Goodell!

So Giants having a bad season and you lose interest in team = NFL stinks?

Got it.

Poor form. Like I'm going to re-read that whole thing to find the one word difference.
Agreed, luckily I just looked at the hacky last sentence and noticed the

joke.

Do disagree that most of the story lines in the NFL have nothing to do with the actual game of football?

It is pathetic. Literally this is just like WWF wrestling.

Again, just because something happened in 1 Giants game does not mean it translates to the whole league.

I don't mean to pick on you specifically, it's just that you see these kind of posts/stories every week all over the internet - yet somehow the NFL is more popular than ever.

Honestly my dislike for the NFL kind of came from this offseason when all I heard about was Brady and deflating balls. The NFL is popular, I dont disagree and it will always be popular. Personally I think it is off the track, I know i am in the minority and thats fine just stating my opinion.

Lowery, don't confuse the coverage by sportscenter and the media with the actual games. Turnoff ESPN or FS1 if your ball and watch the season. WWE storylines are at a minimum. I'm amped about Jets Patriots this weekend because they're rivals and there is a 1 seed on the line, not because of any superficial story line trumped up by talk heads....Will Gronk spike the ball on Revis?

The OBJ Norman matchup was blown up by the media and these two asshats let it get the best of them. An equally great if not better matchup of Chris Harris Jr and Antonio Brown was not discuss and therefore nothing happened, except for Brown scoring the first TD on Harris in like 2 seasons.
