I'll miss him.

Completely disagree with Rayhad/DP and Gentle. Glen Frey was a great singer songwriter. Bowie was a lightweight hack. Real musicians don't need to dress up as bizarre characters with weirdo personas to get attention.

Bowie's music was extremely weak. Hence, the stupid outfits, makeup, etc.

Despite what your feelings are about the Eagles, they were an accomplished rock band and Frey is #2 in most people's eyes as far as importance in the band is concerned - behind Don Henley and above Steve Walsh, who joined the band in '75.

We got a few jeffrey lebowskis in this thread

"Let me explain something to you. Um, I am not 'Mr. Lebowski.' You’re 'Mr. Lebowski.' I’m 'The Dude.' So that’s what you call me. You know, that or, uh, 'His Dudeness,' or uh, 'Duder,' or 'El Duderino' if you’re not into the whole brevity thing.”

Joe Walsh......steve walsh was a QB for the Hurricanes ( I think)

My teenage memories of the late 70's, early 80's..............Bowie was never a popular musician with my buddies.....dressing up like a woman wasn't too cool back then. Became more liked as time went on and he lost the makeup...."Young Americans" was when I started to like him and my favorite Bowie song, "Panic in Detroit" still remains one I play.
As for the Eagles, again, not that popular early on....Considered more a country off-spring early....popularity grew especially after "Hotel California" blew up. Favorite song..."Outlaw Man" off Desperado album.

i'm not sure that's biggie in that photo. maybe the actor who played him in the movie i had zero interest in seeing. a poor plan poorly executed--about what i'd expect from a denialist of both okafor and paterno reality

i never really liked him, and kind of hate tupac, but they're both probably better than the eagles

Honestly, the Eagles were never my cup of tea. I think I like Tupac's music more.

This was my intro to Glenn Frey as a 12 year old (Skit was shown on SNL in 2000). Obviously I knew who the Eagles were, but didn't know their names. Immediately thinking about this weird ben stiller/will ferrell sex scene when I heard Glenn Frey had died was one of the more odd Remembereds i've experienced.

Can you guys see the link there? Not showing up - looks like rivals tries to directly embed from Funny Or Die and it's not working - at least on mobile.

Just search "The H Is O Funny Or Die"
