Listening to Sirius college hoops radio yesterday, Gottlieb was a guest on the show (Packer/Brennan?).
They asked him for a final word, so his response? "I'm just not buying the Nova thing." Then the shpiel. Ouch.
I understand the whole argument from a Nova fan's perspective, and from his too.
In many respects, I can't help but feel like a comparison to Gonzaga's history in March is a comparison in certain respects. Consistent high winning percentage before March, and an early exit with a high seed for a number of years. The conference is not nBE, but the nBE is still not considered a power conference.
Let's hope this year's team can do some real damage as march progresses so that this conversation can finally be put to rest.
