Govt can read your emails older than 6 months without warrant

How true is this? If I delete an email from gmail, is it really deleted or is it sitting on a server for the government to read years from now.

Reputational blackmail is going to be big business for the coming generation.

Mericans long ago willingly surrendered their "privacy" and forfeited their "liberty" to "fight" the terrorists. I am uninterested in #hashing out the particulars.

(incidentally, I'd put this on "par" with concerns over "identity" theft, and the "over"reaction to these "hacks" at Target, Anthem "etc" - somebody put it this way...I just operate under the assumption that all of my information has been compromised, as it probably has been).
