I always enjoyed when Armando Benitez challenged the Yankees dugout to a fight (97ish?) and got punched in the head by about 7 different people, including Graeme Lloyd and Darryl Strawberry.
There's nothing more glorious than watching overweight bullpen guys trying to sprint into the infield to join a baseball fight.
Daryl looked coked up as hell. He would start a fight if someone spit a sunflower seed shell near his foot.
He would probably still be punching Benitez in that dugout if Eddie Murray didn't step in to talk some sense into him.
Why don't the opposing bullpen guys just start fighting each other in the outfield? I guess because they really don't want to fight, just put on an act
Baseball fights are hilarious. Nobody actually looks tough in them.
I remember being in college in the late 1990's and anything from the late 1970's sports would seem ancient to me. Larry v Magic might as well have been an adolph rupp game.
I wonder if college kids today look at old paul oneil helmet slamming or scott brosious cluthcness and view it as ancient history.
Same with movies.

I haven't been able to spot Hamels in any of the footage - was he in the thick of it?
