Jesus that's like 2 for 20 in championship series. What an awful sports city.
 
Smarty Jones being brought up as a CoP sports hero, over 10 years later, still makes me chuckle.
 
For me personally it was Michael Irving almost being paralyzed.

I thought Smarty Jones was in Kentucky. Turns out he's in Peach Bottom, PA. I might go visit him.

Bumped into Vince papale at KoP mall last Christmas. He was in the J Crew store with his daughter. Had a Nova sweatshirt on and he started talking about Nova hoops and how he was going to Cuse game. Had no idea who he was then realized it when I saw big Eagles ring on his finger. Ended up taking a picture with him. Nice guy. Pic is on mantle. Whole family is jealous of me.

I still remember the game like yesterday. I had season tickets at the time but was not able to go due to a church youth group event. I remember listening to the game on the radio with friends and all celebrating when we found out about Irvin being down. That guy is one of the biggest punks in sports history. I also have fond memories of ESPN Prime Time being live at the Linc after an Eagles game and a big group of fans gathered in front of the set and started chanting, "Where's your crack pipe?" to Irvin. Security tried to move everyone away but it wasn't happening. Irvin was visibly flustered and during the commercial break he flipped off some fans. I love it.

Emmitt Smith stopped twice on 4th and 1 - Eagles lose in 1st round of playoffs

Desean Jackson walk off punt return TD- Eagles lose next 2 games, squander lead in NFC east and lose in 1st round of playoffs

Summer 2011 - Phillies win trade deadline championship. Eagles win free agency championship. Gdog cums everywhere. Teams go nowhere.
 
Actually, the year they stopped Smith twice on 4th and inches, they whipped Detroit at the Vet before getting creamed at Texas Stadium. I recall Cunningham coming in to relieve an injured Rodney Peete. There was talk that week of Cunningham possibly missing the game for the birth of his child
