Guy is a disaster... Didn't even tell the team and yesterday stood in front of the media and declared that the Jets didn't have to worry about seeing his name in the paper ever again. He is already suspended 4 games for the weed so assume he is done for the season with this nonsense.
Thakfully they drafted Williams so this doesn't hurt quite as bad. Jets need to extend Wilkerson who may not have a ceiling as high as Richardson but by all accounts is a great teammate.

We only key in high potential players like Richardson or Josh Gordon and we charge a nominal fee to provide 24/7 baby sitting starting their rookie season, with the stipulation we get a percentage of their next contract if we've kept them out of trouble.

Not to downplay the gun charge, but im pretty sure gun laws in Missouri are pretty lax. You are permitted to have a gun (handgun or otherwise) in your car in Missouri. There is no registration of guns. You go to the gun store, show the clerk your MO driver's license, the clerk runs a quick background check, and you walk out with your handgun. There's no registration.

I'm just thankful that this didn't happen to a CoP player. This way we don't have to endure superfans' unwavering defense of the front office's handling of the situation.
Yeah that is certainly a half full look at things... I liked Fitzpatrick as a back-up but wanted to see Geno sink or swim so the path forward was clearer. Offense actually has more skill than it has had years so he will probably perform.
I was more talking about the team in a broad sense. It was a good off season in terms of getting a new regime that seemed competent/good draft and now has been a disaster pre-season full of injuries (which you can't help) and nonsense (e.g., starting QB getting his jaw broken by scrub, DROY driving 145 with guns, weed and kids in car).
