The evolution of Rocky always made me laugh.
Rocky 1 - career clubfighter nearing end of career and piled up 21 losses on the clubfighting circuit, dude is rather out of shape and can't read.
Rocky 2 - see Rocky 1 + add 1 more loss
Rocky 3 - chiseled, muscular frame, now champion of world and sophisticated douche doing advertisements like American Express, is suddenly no longer stupid but rather pompous, conceited and rather miserable. Able to defeat a "wrecking machine" of a heavyweight contender.
Rocky 4 - chiseled out of iron, champion of the world, and able to defeat an unbeatable, mountainous specimen of a man manufactured in a lab and hopped up on steroids, Rocky goes from career bum Philly clubfighter who lost regularly to other clubfighters...to being the greatest boxer in not just the United States, but the entire world.
Rocky 5 - Rocky is suddenly really dumb again and can no longer fight due to severe brain trauma from Drago fight.
Rocky 6 - Rocky's brain damage miraculously dissapears despite having been involved in a gloveless street brawl with Tommy Gunn, Rocky is no longer dumb and is giving grandios speeches about life.
Can't wait to see what they cook up for the character in Creed. Word on the street is he is dying off a disease, Paulie is dead himself and Rocky barely sees his moved away douchebag son.

One of the best things about Rocky 2 is that Mick forces him to give up the implied reason for his good performance against Creed for almost the entire fight.
Also, Rocky's facial injuries seem to get progressively less severe as time goes on.
