We all know you are not a VU fan. We also know you are a real (place your own description)
One can never compare CAA with AAC without giving CAA those 22 additional scholarships.
Check this out. When Temple had to rally late to beat East Carolina, the Philly media designated them a GREAT team. Last Sat EC traveled to VU foe UConn and was handed a 31-13 ass kicking. VU gave UConn a tough game before losing 20-15. Of course Cats had JR at QB.

Both CAA and AAC suck. Complete drains on school resources with no benefit. That's the comparison that should be made.

Villanova should go Patriot League, if only for the academic prestige that goes along with it. At least then there would be a benefit. Would rather be in Patriot League than either CAA or AAC.

I don't like responding to a ass like you, but you give me a chance to make some good points. Villanova does not need to grab onto the PAT League for academics. VU is great academically. As are CAA foes, W&M, Richmond, Delaware.

JMU is also a very good school. To be an AAC fan and try to pound your chest about your subpar conference on an FCS football team's board, is like a Conference USA fan posting on a Big South conference team's message board bragging about what an awesome basketball conference they are. It's a joke and it makes you look pathetic.

Add Albany and Stoney Brook as very good, competitive schools. Nova doesnt need the Patriot League to enhance its prestige but sometime in the future it may need the PL as a place to go. As Andy Talley stated, "that ship has sailed". Time to accept that times have changed. There is an entire generation of Nova alums that never knew or had the chance to know, because of school policy, a home college football game day. Enjoy the good play on the field, block out the 60 years of administration sabatoge, ignore the kids who only experienced football via Play Station, and enjoy Temple's run if you are a college football fan.

I expect to see Nova in the PAT Conference sooner rather than later.

Is the scheduling of 2 Patriot teams in 2016/17 a foreshadowing of things to come?

I have no clue what the new AD has been asked to do about football. Is he truly the "Trojan horse" that takes Nova football down a peg or will he show his football roots and enhance the game day experience in the CAA?

UE, if we join the PAT, we still have the same number of scholarships right?

To be honest, although I know the CAA is a more competitive league, I would be more motivated to go to away football games against the PAT anyway. My sister went to Holy Cross, loved going to football games there even when they were terrible. Not sure that has changed though.

Nobody knows what form this move might take.
The things we know :Coach T might be around for three more years at most, some CAA schools will be leaving the conference, Villanova will always field a competitive team, built to compete at a high level and built the right way ,(good kids, good students, good football players
Great experience playing W&M in Williamsburg, playing Delaware at their place, playing JMU at their place(but I think they will be leaving CAA}. I can understand your thoughts about playing at PAT Conference schools.

As long as everyone knows that long term that move hurts football and drags b'ball down as well by eliminating options in a fluid environment.
