I'm no hockey wizard but this Gostisbehere has to be one of the best rookie defenseman I've ever seen. Too bad he wasn't up to start the year. Flyers probably would've made the playoffs.

Outside of Giroux he's arguably their most skilled player. Their best offensive D-man since Mark Howe.

Wasn't up because of awful Holmgren contracts.

I agree he has been very good...fun player to watch

Cory Schneider is unbelievable. Devils continually give him no goal support and he goes out there and shuts down opponents nightly. I realize that if Holtby continues his pace, the Vezina is his but I think Schneider might be the best goalie in the league this season

Both points made in this post are dead on.

Title said hockey. Post was a Flyers' player. I commented. Eat a dick, man.

My post was directed at gdog. Sorry. The taco comment was just a general way to say "take off the CoP goggles". Next time I'll say "watch the Simpsons"

Hahaha.....

I was wondering if the taco reference had advanced in its association. I'm honored.

I am really hoping the Flyers move Streit at the deadline.

Flyers have been fun to watch ever since Gost has been with the team. They dug themselves too deep of a hole to start the season, but it doesn't matter - they are not a Cup contending team. There was a period a couple weeks ago when they were playing really well and there were talks about them being a dangerous team if they snuck into the playoffs but I never bought it. They just don't have the scoring. I think they are set up very well for the future. They have a lot of talent in their farm system and are set up to be good for years to come. It's amazing how having a GM with a plan for the future changes things. It's hard for me to say anything bad about Homer - he always tried to make moves to make the team better right now and to win a Cup, but Hextall in his short time has really turned things around.

from my interpretation of it, its deeper than last year's draft. lot of high upside forwards available at the top.

I guess that's good. Flyers at this point will probably finish between 7-13. Get as high as possible and take the most skilled forward available.

No dmill to really break down the Rangers but I am hoping the ice time going to Girardi and Staal is because they are being "showcased" to try and move them.. rather than actually thinking it makes since to give so little time to Yandle and McIlrath. Zook's passing the past few games, including sunday, has been unreal

who the hell is going to trade for either of those guys? they are negative value assets at this point

Agree Im grasping... trying to figure out why they continue to lead on TOI. One of them has to go somehow... and the rangers would certainly need to eat some of it.
