I thought last season was awesome-hopefully this season will be equally awesome. Any others benchwarmers pumped?

Awful finale last season doesn't have me as pumped as I should be. I kind of yawned when I realized new episode tonight.

If they wouldve just ended Season 4 one episode earlier I would be pinching my nipples waiting for this start. However, they didnt, so expectations are low. Considering that, that's probably a good thing.

Looks to be a great season-it's amazing how relevant this episode was to current events. Also seems like Quinn agrees with me regarding the solution in Syria "make it a parking lot and start over".

Interesting episode. Hoping they stay focused this year and stick to the spy games. Also looks like they are going back to one of Carrie's Beautiful Mind like wormholes.

Thought it was great and also watched the Affair. First time seeing that and immediately set the "season record" on DVR. Looks fantastic.

Well except for the fact that his fist solution was 200k soldiers on the ground and an equal amount of humanitarian support but lets keep that discussion in the putin thread

The first season was amazing... but they will always be chasing that success. Last season was a good, not great watch, but then the finale and that absurdity. My issue moving forward is probably going to be the repeated Carrie "crazy well" they dip into. That is fundamental to the show but I think it works better when she is more stable personally.. and I feel like they use it as a crutch to throw in these crazy "danger danger" episodes.

I could do without any romantic interest or crazy people stuff.

I want tense action sequences and dead terrorists.

I tune in for the Claire Danes cry face. It's basically the face the girls make waiting for the cumshot at the end of every Exploited College Girls / Girls do Porn video.

No doubt, Quinn is going to go on a killing spree like no other this year.

Can't get into it. Seems like a stupid show. Tried watching it 2 or 3 times and it never grabs me.

So far I'm extremely bored. Hope it gets better this season. Probably will. Last season started out slow as well.

After last night's episode I might be out. Crazy Carrie is back and Saul's trying to kill Carrie because she may or may not have something to do with the leak. Great CIA work.

I was worried about where this show would go when Brody died. They pleasantly surprised me. I had the same worry where it would go after last year's season finale. Thru 2 eps I'm even more worried than I was at the end of last season. I'm gonna give it 2-3 more episodes and hope this diverts course.

Is Saul trying to kill Carrie or is it the redhead CIA chick who was going to be the sacrificial lamb?

Hard to believe it would be Saul ordering it, can't imagine he'd believe Quinn would go through with it. The redheaded CIA lady getting access to his services through Dar Adal perhaps more plausible. But agree regardless that this is silly and it looks like this season is going off the rails. We'll see.

My guess is Quinn points his gun toward the agency and we have a Bourne situation on our hands.

MATT DAMON!!!

I finally caught episode 2 last night, and I was ok with it. They are still in the "set up the plot lines" mode, before they get to the "twist and turn" mode. I thought Quinn would have reacted a little sooner on the letter clues, instead of right before the "N". The station chief character has some potential unless she really is sent back to Langley. And I would guess that any hit on Carrie came from Dar Adal, because Saul might be pissed at her, but he isn't THAT pissed. He would need to see some more proof that Carrie was in on the leak.

So what are we thinking here about Allison? Is she working with the Russians? Israelis? Saul and Dar Adal must have a play going on as well. This season has been entertaining, I am glad they got back to the spy aspect of the show.

Too many moving parts right now. Everyone is playing everyone. Hopefully they tidy things up soon and don't wait til the last 3 eps. It's been an OK season but definitely not my favorite. And probably least favorite. But still good.

Allison has to be in bed with the Russians, right? She is plotting Dar against Saul. My prediction is that somehow Carrie and Quinn are going to expose her in the process of saving each other. And yes, the reporter is super annoying. The video parlor is like the homeland equivalent of the bada Bing club in sopranos. I think the female German spy will play a bigger role going forward too.

Allison being in bed with the Russians is too obvious, no? I mean she answered the secret phone in Russian saying "da". There's gotta be more in play there. As if her hand is being forced possibly for some reason. Why was she so nervous when meeting with the thug in the parking garage?

She was nervous because her hired hit man was splashed dead on the screen of his own cell phone. And since she put carries name in the box, she is wondering what happened.

At least I think that's what happened?

If she were a true Russian spy getting a hit man knocked off wouldn't concern her so much. Just a gun for hire. I don't know, we'll see. I suspect Saul already knows she's no good and has been working her the whole time, even if he currently appears oblivious.

I just saw it as Allison being terrified that the dead hit man would be the event that got her connection to the Russians discovered by someone in the CIA. I realize that's the obvious conclusion, and the show doesn't always go that way.

The show does a good job of being "smart" but it doesnt go too, too far with the complexity like, say, True Detective, which is nothing but a nauseating attempt to win Oscars for being stylish and edgy and sophisticated. Basically retarded Christopher Nolan-level shit.
