Assuming the hammer falls harder in Chapel Hill than it did in Syracuse, how deeply will this impact UNC's program? I suppose you're in deep sh*t when a three page thread on your board is entitled "Is the academic mess really destroying the program?"
Naturally, their chief concern is the apparent fall-off in recruiting. There's a lot of concern about "negative recruiting" by all the competing coaches. I have to believe that is definitely happening. Brings back old memories, doesn't it? It really makes you appreciate the track Jay has VU on right now. Reading the Duke board, they are ready to step on UNC's neck.
It's hard to fathom that two out of the three best teams in the ACC are going to be fundamentally neutralized over the next 4 - 5 years due to sanctions. That is going to benefit some lucky conference - hopefully, the Big East.

Hottest trending team in the country right now: Villanova.
