I can't imagine how crushed he was after the Big East football upgrade fell through. For a guy like him to get the chance to tell kids they'll be playing major-level football, to then see that fly back in his face when the school decided to do otherwise, I think every season they've had him after that is just icing.
I don't want to think about what happens after he leaves. So, in that respect, may it be for another 5-10 years. It won't likely be...but I can always hope.
I'm puzzled he was never snatched by a FBS program. I have my suspicions that the way to walk the lines at a major FBS program means Andy would have had to "pay his dues" as an assistant or HC at a non-major before he could get something better. So, if that's the case, and coaching isn't a merit thing, I'm glad the system is what it is and things are good enough in Radnor to keep him here.
