whats not to like about Laettner, stayed 4 years , got better every year led his team to a NC against the hoods of UNLV, played in 4 straight final fours. advanced to 2 NC games in that time winning one.

Laettner was on radio today apparently still butt hurt that Jalen Rose called him a "p*ssy" and said he hated Duke in the Fab 5 documentary.

Laettner had 19 and 7 in a blowout win vs Mich not sure Rose's words can mean anything with that result.

Definitely hated Laettner and all of those Duke teams but at least Laettner was a good player and you could respect hiw game - same for Grant Hill and Hurley. The guys I hate the most are the ones who suck but act like they are great because the team is always good (Wojo, Chris Collins, Brian Davis, Quin Snyder...). And then you had JJ Reddick who was certainly good but hatable for obvious reasons.
with respect to arch it was the wrong choice, Hilliard was the better choice IMO. but i guess the coaches valued arch's play and importance to the team more.
its hard for a team with 7 scorers to put up big numbers. put Hilliard on providence and Dunn on Nova and you'll see DH put up 18 ppg. Dunn on Nova would not avg 17ppg

Gr8 documentary.
Best part was story of how he would talk to groupies on campus then say "your 5 minutes with me are up" and ask them to move along. A more eloquent version of "who wants to sex Mutumbo"
Also enjoyed the Jew guys talking about how they wanted to be black when they were young. Didn't see that coming.

Leattner wasn't hated because he was white and played for Duke. He was hated not only because he was really good but mainly because he acted like a complete doucher to everyone including his teammates.
Erik Meek is white and went to Duke. No one hated him. He wasn't a dick. Laettner was an immense dick.
