When my wife was nearing the age where you must pay on
her tax shelter annuity, she hadn't heard anything from the company
which handles her money. She went up to the man who handles
her account, and he told her he would switch the TSA money into some
other account. He failed to do so.
The man who does our taxes where did this advisor put the TSA funds.
He told us he didn't do anything. We are aware that there will be penalties
on all of those monies for all of for 2014 and five months of this year. The man
who does our taxes is in contact with the IRS about the penalties. Is there any
hope that the IRS will be merciful.
This has nothing to do with me except the president of the company contacted
us when my wife transferred all of her accounts to another company. I have
been friends with the president for over fifty years. My suggestion to him was for his
company to pay the penalties since his employee made the mistake. But there was nothing
in writing at the time my wife told her advisor to reinvest the TSA funds
