just got to Singapore. Any recommendations, besides the Four Floors of Whores?
Besides the bars, not sure what else of interest, so listed a few other things...Singapore is a fantastic place to live with very high quality of life but as a visitor not as 'adventurous' as some other places in the region. Taxi's are quite cheap and usually easy to get.
Later in evening, after Clarke Quay -
In Orchard Towers,
Ipanema is the best place. Crazy Horse upstairs on 4th floor is a bit 'crazy' with a mix of, uh, 'ladies'...
BRIX BAR in basement @ Grand Hyatt on Scott's Road - one of the best bars in Singapore...worth the cover. Go around/after 10pm, or earlier and get a seat at the bar and watch the crowd of ladies pile in.
Marina Bay Sands casino across street from hotel (need to show your passport)
Ku De Ta on top floor of Marina Bay Sands hotel
Tanjong Beach Club on Sentosa
The Long Bar at Raffles Hotel
Level 33 at Marina Bay Financial Centre
CHIJMES (pronounced 'Chimes') - more bar/restaurant options. Insomnia was a favorite place but has since closed.
Gardens by the Bay
Singapore Flyer
Night Safari @ Singapore Zoo
American International School in Woodlands up north is amazing, though probably not worth the trip as not much else up there but decent area with actual houses vs. condos nearer the city.
Universal Studios on Sentosa
Costa Del Sol on Bayshore Road - where I used to live,
Shopping - Orchard Road; too many other malls
Not familiar with many of the local clubs where a lot of the SPG's hang out, except for
Zouk. Most are a 18-30 crowd. Can check this out:

Boat Quay - early evening, after work crowd along the river; many bars and restaurants to choose from
Mogambo's - ring the bell and buy a round of shots for everyone at the bar (not in the entire bar, just the area where the bell is; or wait for someone else to do it and get free shots yourself). Thursday - Saturday usually gets packed around happy hour and again later at night
Red Dot - restaurant/bar that makes its own beers; laid back environment
1-Altitude - rooftop bar at 1 Raffles Place, on 63rd floor of OUB Centre. World's highest al fresco bar. Entrance is on Battery Road from elevator outside the building. Great views
Clarke Quay - early evening, post-Boat Quay, up to 11pm but can go on later depends where you are. So many places can just bounce from one to another all night
Pump Room - brewpub and club with live bands. Great place and smack in the middle of Clarke Quay by the fountains. Thursdays - Saturdays has a great band if they're still playing there. Lead singer wears glasses and a fedora sometimes. Packed house. Think the band is ZuQ & Jive Talkin. Also, Jay & Frenz another good band.
Highlander - next door to Pump Room
Brewerkz - Brewpub with big selection of beers and burgers, steaks, sandwiches, etc. - opposite side of river from Pump Room
Robertson Quay - extension of Clarke Quay, but bit quieter with more restaurants
East Coast
Smokey's - 73 Joo Chiat Place; BBQ ribs and sports on TV
East Coast Park - wake boarding, skate board park, Seafood Centre - JUMBO for chili crab and Long Beach for black pepper crab, Brussels Sprouts for Belgian food and beers, hawker centre for cheap eats (rated one of best hawker centres in Singapore)
Any questions, let me know...
