Miles Austin to Eagles?

No. Yes.

He has only played 23 games over last 2 years. I guess he had respectable #'s for a 3rd/4th receiver last year with 47 grabs/568 yards/2 TDs.

I doubt it's a crazy contract, probably filled with incentives. He'll add a little depth/competition, but really not a difference-maker at this point.

If Austin can get almost 600 yards in cleveland's offense, he will easily double that for Chip!

he was surprisingly reliable last year. great hands. made some tough catches. he's just a possession receiver to go to on third down really. if you don't expect to much from him, he'll be a welcome addition.

They didnt sign him as a Maclin replacement. At best a 3 or 4 guy. I expect them to go WR in draft.

Besides the WVU and Alabama kids...who are the real difference makers at WR in this draft?

Based on the current state of the WR corps...the Eagles still need an impact outside receiver.

Right now they have:

decent, but unreliable 2nd year player who could become a good SECOND receiver; the worst WR in the NFL statistically last year; a very unreliable slot receiver who is mostly a kick returner; Austin...who I guess is a 3rd or 4th possession guy with reliable hands?
Birds seem to have plenty of very good options in the slot...two very good TEs, great RB catching the ball, Matthews, Austin...

I'm just not seeing ONE really good option on the outside.

If they had a speedster to pull attention away from the underneath game it would be ideal. but why do that when you can have 7 RBs right?

Agree. I assumed the guy was done after his performance the last couple years and repeated injuries. Could be his last real shot here. If this was baseball, his next stop would probably be the independent league, unless he appears remarkably rejuvenated in camp through the power of modern "pharmaceuticals."

Devante Parker- Louisville
Jaelen Strong- Arizona State (from Philly)
Dorial Green-Beckham- Missouri
Sammie Coates- Auburn
Nelson Algholor- USC

who drafted marcus smith? roseman or kelly?

id like to see the eagles go receiver. if you are gonna make all these moves you need a top receiver. what they have now isnt gonna cut it.

Fixed.....

It's not a two WR draft. You can find I rafter them, I the 2nd RD that can become a productive player. Jordan Matthews will get better, too.

Who were the dynamic WRs on the two Super Bowl participants last year? Let's not get overly dramatic here, fellas.

I think this year's WR class is even deeper than last years

I'm not sure there are as many high end players this year, but there is more talent

Gotta grab a WR in first 2 rounds.

Forget Mariota. Not happening.

Don't be shocked if Kelly goes WR-QB in the first 2 rounds. Brett Hundley. Call it a hunch.
