I will miss him. He mentored my idol the Say Hey Kid...my father was such a Giants fan back then that he literally moved from the shadows of the Polo Grounds out to the CBTB when they moved West. Our shared devotion to the Giants back in the golden years of baseball and the times we spent following them is the one thing I will always remember about my dad may he rest in peace.

Ha - wonder if a CoP'er would be capable of that amount of devotion.....actually though while he did grow up in Washington Heights in the same neighborhood of the Polo Grounds and did move out to California in 1958 the same year the Giants moved West ...it really was to Stockton CA where he got a job with CALTrans coming out of the Army....but he was a devoted life long Giants fan and it does make for a good story which he never hesitated to tell.
