I was watching ESPNU Sportscenter this morning looking for our highlights and this is what we got in the pic below.
No highlights, just a shot of the score and i think they said that St. John's lost to Villanova. (granted Zona is also on here and got no highlights but their game was on CBS...).
This isnt Sportscenter, this is ESPNU where the whole hour is dedicated to college. The show started with 7 minutes on Kentucky, and they went back to UK multiple times throughout the show including 2 minutes and 45 seconds where they talked to a former UConn womens player on the undefeated UConn team to understand the mentality of going undefeated.
They had plenty of womens coverage including the broadcast team from the SEC tourney and a current #1 seed couldnt get 10 seconds?
They actually did show highlights of both PC/Butler and SHU/Georgetown but this time a year the focus is all about the bubble and the 1 seed race and they have no coverage of a beatdown of a hot 7 seed that had won 7 of their last 8?
Granted, UK did after all finish the regular season undefeated (if you hadnt heard) against a very good 15-16 Florida team with a 37-23 run.
And Gonzaga. They were down 3 to 14-18 San Francisco in the second half and went on a 22-3 run at home. San Francisco is always a tough out, especially when you're playing at home. The resolve to pull that out? They should be a 1 seed lock after that!
