In perusing the heat sheets, a couple of things standout:

There are appear to be only seven (7) private schools represented ? Dartmouth, Georgetown, Harvard, Notre Dame, Providence, Stanford, Villanova. Says an awful lot about the imbalance in recruiting ? i.e., the advantages of the state schools.

Oregon is loaded. Something to consider when weighing relays at Penn. Oregon men have three entries in mile, two in 800, and one in 400. Women: one in 800, two in mile and Horsay.

Arkansas is loaded as well ? three men in 800, one in 400. They would have walked away with 4x800 at Penn. This Arkansas invitational must be some kind of event.

Denault did not qualify for the finals but did beat two of the three Oregon guys in his heat.

Ellison did not advance either

Women 2nd in Dmr. Lipari beaten by tough Michigan anchor. Ladies ran great, Michigan girl was just too tough, mich also had a great 2:05 800leg.

Looks like men were 5th. Princeton wins and psu 2nd. Anchor leg was slow and became a true kickers race. Mcentee tried to go with about 500left. Just as he was ramping it up he stumbled a bit and was off stride, couldn't really get it cranked up after that.

All in all I thought both teams stuck their noses in their and fought tough. Piccirillo and Wilkins ran very well for frosh. Mich girl went out hard and just took the kick out of lipari.

The Princeton kid clipped McEntee twice and knocked the baton out of the Arkansas kid's hand. I'd be livid if I was Marcus or Chris Bucknam.

TFE, I did not see the men's DMR. There is a version described on the VU website, but your description seems to suggest that McEntee was actually clipped a couple of times. Seems to suggest tha the Princeton guy was a bit out of control. Can you or anyone describe what you saw?

McEntee looked like he was winding it up to try to go out towards the front to start a kick about 500m out with the Arkansas guy on his inside and as he was doing it, the kid from Princeton caught him a couple of times and knocked him into the Arkansas guy.
