Four-star 2020 point guard Nico Mannion has narrowed his list to 10 schools. He made the announcement on his Twitter. Joining Villanova on the list are Arizona, Marquette, USC, Vanderbilt, UCLA, Utah, Oregon, Duke, and Kansas.
Mannion has also discussed the possibility of reclassifying into the class of 2019, so that is something else to keep an eye on as his recruitment progresses.
Currently ranked No. 26 in the Rivals 150, it's easy to envision Mannion thriving in the Villanova system. He's a complete lead guard capable of finding his own shot or creating for teammates. He's got an excellent shot to go with excellent athleticism.
Between the Italian heritage, the red hair, and the range and athleticism, it's hard not to see a bit of Donte DiVincenzo in Mannion, although Mannion has a more refined passing game. See for yourself.
