Awful. After taking a 9-7 lead about five minutes in, Nova proceeded to score only one more basket by halftime to trail 19-11, go scoreless for the first 8-1/2 minutes of the second half and score their first basket of the second half at the 10:30 mark. By that time Temple had a 35-17 lead and the game in hand.

A late burst(explosion for Nova) of scoring cut the margin to ten but we couldn't sustain on the defensive end to climb all of the way back. The final was 55-43 with Nova scoring 32 points in the last eleven and a half minutes after scoring only 11 in the first 28 and a half minutes.

Sweeney started out strong, scoring 7 of the first nine on the inside before they started doubling down on her. She then added eight more on a series of drives and foul shots during the late run. Once again she was aggressive on both ends of the floor. The Temple defensive speed and pressure caused numerous turnovers and fastbreak points the other way and prevented any sort of offensive thrust from the perimeter.

Sweeney had 15, Kane 10 and Roberts and Suhey had eight each. Of the announced crowd of 400 there must have been about 200 cardboard cutouts sitting on their hands with the rest of us live ones.

Wasn't at game. Chose not to go. The assist to turnover ratio remains pathetic. Will probably not get better as we head into the Big East. Good to see Kane getting the playing time. She still has some fire in the belly. Thanks for keeping the updates! I will come to a few more home games, but it really does hurt.
