Every year I read all the criticisms of our offense. If this were football I think more people would understand what we do. In football there are a variety of offenses. Some based around passing some running and some a balance of both. Each one has its strengths and weaknesses. College teams have won championships with all of the styles.

Jay's style is to spread the floor and focus on the three. It is like throwing downfield. It looks great when it works and takes you out of the game when it does not. He also likes to mix up the run by using Dan O. However for those who love the run game, what do you do when the defense staks the box.

Last night Stanford put 8 men in the box and Dan O. was MIA with foul trouble. Thus we had to rely more than usual on the three. Were some shots bad shots, yes. But not as many as some of you think. With the 30 second clock it is more important to take a good early shot now than in the past. We took a ton of good threes and just missed. Sh*t happens. It won't happen often with this team.

Stanford was much biger than us and as a result out rebounded us. However, the flip side of that is that our "little" guys pestered them into a lot of turnovers which led to easy transition buckets. So if you look at the totality of the game not just who had more running or passing yards, we were the better team and had the better game plan.
