Him just not being good not nearly as bad as their having identified him as the one untouchable all of those years when they were trading guys. A few (but to your point not many at all) look to have become decent.
I'm going to make myself feel better by thinking that they probably would've traded the decent guys away anyway. Probably would've lost patience with d'arnaud due to non-stop injuries. Though the focus on and acquisition of other teams $hitty catching prospects in deals maybe indicates that they were kicking themselves for the d'arnaud trade early on.
And I was never a big fan of Happ or Worley, but both would have been in the Phils' rotation this year and next if they were here (am sure both were glad to have missed out on that).
