Same reason there is an entire culture based around craft beer - we are all spinning on a space rock flying through the universe with little rhyme or reason and cling to what we can compartmentalize and wholely understand for comfort

I was happy when the pumpkin lattes were delayed. There should be a federal law that states no fall inspired items or good should be on the shelves before Labor Day. Same with Christmas stuff before Halloween.

I love Pumpkin pie. I could eat it year around. I can drink a pumpkin beer or two, but beyond that the flavor gets to me. Now Dairy Queen pumpkin blizzards, which is essentially a pumpkin pie in blended format, that is a thing of beauty. Anything else pumpkin flavored tends to blow.

I love the pumpkin stuff as well, but couldn't agree more with this post. I don't really want to see pumpkin stuff until mid September, and I don't want to see Christmas stuff until the Monday before Thanksgiving. I also love Christmas, but Christmas stuff before Halloween is crap.

I'm telling you, if you like pumpkin pie with vanilla ice cream then the Pumpkin Blizzard is worth going out of your way for. I haven't had any DQ all season (or ice cream for that matter) but I'll def go out of my way to get one of these when they're released.
