Arch has taken the reins of this team.
Early on, thru the OU game, Brunson was on the ball primarily, and Arch was playing off the ball more often. Sure, in the JW offense, there isn't that much difference between the 1 and 2, but make no mistake about it, Arch has quietly taken the reins of this team, and the ball is now in his hands primarily.
Early on, it was Brunson driving, and Arch spotting up. Rarely did you see Arch driving the ball and looking to create opportunities.
The over reliance on the 3 ball early, was somewhat a result of Arch off the ball more, and Brunson orchestrating the offense.
Arch has the ability to drive at, and thru the defense, and get the ball back out to reset to avoid a forced shot or bailout pass.
This is, by no means, a knock on Brunson. It is a recognizion by JW that Arch is the master at setting the tone offensively for the team.
