Much like Elijah Weaver earlier this afternoon, Jahvon Quinerly had a bit of a mixed day in Sports U's sloppy performance against Team Charlotte. Quinerly scored 13 points on 4-11 shooting, 0-4 from three, and 5-9 from the line. He did have two made threes wiped out by foul calls. He added four assists and three rebounds.
Shooting was the biggest issue for Quinerly on Thursday, although if those two threes had counted his day suddenly looks a whole lot better. While the two made threes didn't count, they showed that the range is there.
On the positive side, he again displayed the ability to get to the rim at will and to draw fouls. He also showcased his excellent vision once again. During one sequence Quinerly delivered a perfect high-low pass to Naz Reid, demonstrating excellent touch, before causing a turnover on the defensive end and starting the break with a nifty pass to a teammate on the outlet.
While the stat line doesn't jump out at you, Quinerly, along with teammate Naz Reid and Team Charlotte's Devon Dotson, clearly showed themselves to be on another level.
