Interesting situation during the game today. I was sitting in the student section when one of the students in my row shouted out, "how much are they paying you " to Pat Driscoll after a foul was called against Villanova. He immediately turned, gave an icy stare and put his index finger to his lips implying tone it down. The next trip to our end of the court and another look at the student who made the comment. The next timeout he come over to the student section and waved the student over for a conversation. After a few words were exchanged, he shook the students hand and he returned to the action. That was the first time I have ever seen that type of an exchange between a student and a ref.
I have always liked Pat Driscoll since he reffed the game vs Pitt in Boston and the game vs Nc in Detroit. He seems like a no BS guy.
