Putting on another show tonight. Two rushing and one passing TD in the first half against Albany.

JR had 5 TDs three on the ground two via the air. Great overall game for # 19.

Watching PSU and Temple yesterday, imo Robertson is a better quaterback than both of the respective two.

Box - I thought the same thing. I only watched 1st half but neither QB looked good.

Hackenberg would do quite well at Nova, not sure Robertson would do all that well at PSU. Clearly, Robertson is the better runner as Hanckenberg is practically a statue. Hackenberg regressed this year but his OL has been brutal, seems he has never recovered.

Hackenberg is not near the player that Robertson is. The kid from Temple is an athlete but makes horrible decisions when passing.

Also watched some of the PSU-Temple game and had same thoughts about the 2 QB's and the Robertson comparisons. Have seen some of their play in parts of other games. Of course, I've seen a lot more of J.R. Hackenberg gets a lot of hype but doesn't doesn't measure up to it. The Temple QB not even close to Robertson. Give me Robertson, a player who does great things game in game out. Consistently outstanding. A winner. Of course, I'm very objective in my choice.

Hackenberg has to look at his sleeve every play to know what he's calling. Of course that could be a reaction to having a new head coach.

Robertson played really poorly against Richmond, what makes you think he would do well against the likes of Ohio State and other Big 10 teams? I think Robertson is probably the best player in FCS but it is a much different level. Hackenberg played really well last year and he still has two years left at PSU, if he chooses.

Robertson played well against Temple, BC, and Syracuse. He could play at the next level (meaning FBS) for a lot of programs.

You guys need to separate being a great college QB at the FCS level vs. being an NFL prospect. Hackenberg is considered a top NFL QB prospect because he is 6'4", 230 and has a rocket arm.

Robertson is a great athlete and accurate passer and the top FCS player. But at the end of the day, he just doesn't have the arm strength or size for the NFL.

There are truly great QB's who just don't fit what the NFL is looking for. The list could go on forever.

Why even bother comparing Robertson to Hackenberg. It's apples to oranges. Also, let's see how successful Robertson's game would be if he were chased down by Ohio State defenders who are 6'5", 260 and run a 4.5 40 yard dash instead of Albany defensive players.I love Robertson, but the comparisons and NFL potential are getting a bit tired.

His game just doesn't fit what the NFL is looking for. Even the new style guys like RGIII, Kapernick and Wilson have big time throwing arms to back up their running mobility.

Having followed Villanova since the 1959 season it is clear John Robertson is the best dual threat QB in Nova history. He'll probably pass Chris Boden the top passing QB next season. Don't know if we'll see his like again before some have their wish that Nova drop to club FB.

If JR had a full roster of complementary players he would do well at FBS level. Can't expect him to excel with team at 75% strength of FBS teams. Those that fail to see him before he leaves will kick themself for missing a great player in action.
