When the Nation is watching in March, and it's time to put up or shut up,
The perception in Rollie's tenure was that you DIDN'T want to play Nova.
The perception now in JW's tenure is you WANT to play Nova.

Right or wrong, hunter vs. hunted arguments aside, along with any other peripheral rationalizations, that's reality.

I feel bad for the team, and as a fan, feel that all that positive energy and glow from a historic year by Nova standards, went up in smoke, especially coming off last year's abrupt ending.

You have to really appreciate what being a Nova fan is. We've had tremendous success. These past 2 years have been awesome. The team play has been a joy to watch. Unselfish and inspired.

That said, I think a lot of what I feel in the sense of disappointment is the perception that now Nova is becoming the team you want to play in March rather then team to avoid. That hurts.

You have to see and accept the burden of expectations to be successful.
Maybe we haven't done a good job there.

It's a year till next March. JW is a great coach and is a wonderful representative for Nova hoops, but he needs to recognize that gorilla on his back rather then avoid it. It's growing larger by the year.
It's not so much about roster, break down guards, bigs or 4 guard lineups. We had plenty of opportunities to win last nite. Make March your mission. That's what we ultimately will remember and celebrate as Nova Nation.
We won the BE tourney. Small monkey dead, but the gorilla of March is there and growing.
Let's hope he kills it next March. Unfortunately it's a year away just to have a shot at killing it.
