The more I think about it, there is little doubt that this year's starting 5 is better than last year's, factoring in both offensive and defensive potential. I certainly realize there is more to comparing both squads than just the starting line ups. However, the offensive potential of this 5 is heads and shoulders better than last year's. The floor is better spread with better shooters, passers, and ball handling with Brunson and Jenkins. Ochefu and Arch this year is better than last year. Last year's starting 5 according to kenpom played 14% of the time together at the end of the season... I would guess this 5 will end up averaging a lot more minutes together than last year's starting 5.
