I continue to have reduced hours available to watch tv, but I've added Deutschland (fully up-to-date) and now Mr. Robot (only have watched Pilot episode) to my mix. I hear good things about BoJack Horseman.

Anyone have any other "new-ish" shows I should be adding to the queue?

I watch Bojack Horseman. It's extremely clever, but i dont know how much youll find yourself actually laughing. More just appreciating the show, like Arrested Development.

Wet Hot American Summer: the First Day of Camp starts july 31 on netflix.

And Bloodline kicked ass.

Rectify is worth watching. You can catch up on Netflix and watch the current season on Sundance. Its completely character driven and it is slow... very slow, but its well acted, has gotten better each season and is unlike anything else out there. Might be the best show on TV right now.

For pure blow up things enjoyment Strike Back is a fun show coming back for its final season season. It is a show that knows what it is and does it very well. Really good action, explosions, terrorists, good looking chicks etc. Think its available on Prime.

Another Period on Comedy Central. It's mostly the same joke over and over again but that doesn't keep me from coming back to 4.6.

Poldark on PBS is good. I'm watching Mr.Robot, too, but the first episode was the best so far. Tyrant & Zoo are worth a look, too.

I like The Strain by Guillermo Del Toro. If you're into vampires, end of world scenario, conspiracies, etc than you should like. The book trilogy was very good and the first season lived up to it.

I don't have a netflix account, but have every possible cable channel in the world, what stations are these shows on? I haven't heard of most of them.

Anyone watch Ray Donovan? Nothing super, but can be entertaining.

Binge watch "Luther" which is an excellent BBC production. Also recommend "Justified" though it might take an episode or two before appreciating the characters. I am about five shows into "Peaky Blinders".

currently watching

the Strain
Wayward Pines (though it kind of has lost me)
Ballers (nothing groundbreaking, just a fun time killer)
True Detective

Wayward Pines ends this week when the monsters get into the town and kill everyone!

Forgot about Ray Donovan. That's my #1 right now.

A new show called Billions is coming out late in the year or early next yr on Showtime starring Damian Lewis (Brody) and Paul Giammati. Looks good.

HBO has two interesting mini-series coming out. One at the end of AUG called, Show Me a Hero produced by David Simon. It's 6 parts. Based on politics, class, and segregation in Yonkers between '87-'94.

The other one I haven't seen a date yet, but it's the third Tom Hanks series like Band of Brothers and The Pacific. It's called The Mighty 8th. It will be similar to BOB as the series concentrated on a squadron during WW2. This looks decent.

I watched the first season of Broadchurch and thought it went way too slow. I didn't like it, so I didn't watch the second season. Peaky Blinders was great. Moone Boy was pretty funny, but it's on Hulu, so there's commercials. I got into New Tricks this winter when I was unemployed and not sleeping.

As far as stuff on TV, I'll agree with tjc about Poldark, if you're into period pieces.

Broadchurch is is slow but you like Poldark? Better get more sleep!

There is a thin line between building tension and dragging. I thought that Broadchurch went over the line into dragging. I'm not expecting tension in Poldark like I would from a cop show, so I don't care.

There's a reason I don't usually post on this kind of stuff, because I'm all over the place.

Tyrant
Hell on Wheels
Murder in the First
Tried to watch Mr Robot ( 2 1/2 episodes) - REALLY weird - couldn't get into it at all

Mr. Robot is great if you enjoy a main character who's eyes are popping out of his head, and literally never changes his tone of voice ever.

Watching Ray Donovan, Mr Robot, Falling Skies, The Brink, and Masterchef

Love Ray Donovan
The Brink is surprisingly good
Mr Robot is weirdly good
falling skies peaked two seasons ago
Masterchef is my guilty pleasure

Also been watching Suites. I'm almost caught up and it's entertaining.

Also House of Lies is a good show to catch up on Showtime if you like boobs and shady business practices.

Tried watching the Zoo and it sucked

Congrats on getting out of that rut - easier said than done especially when sunlight isn't helpful with sleep cycle

ORPHAN BLACK on BBC America / Amazon Prime. Tatiana Maslany is the best young actress of her generation (no hyperbole). Must watch TV.

Cannot wait for the new season of Fargo this Fall. First season was top notch!
