We have all posted ad nauseum and generally agree that after the failed Dom Cheek Wayans experiment we started recruiting more " Villanova program guys" this change in philosophy has lead to unprecedented regular season success due to our coaching and superior team chemistry and team execution. This has been well documented. Our success against lesser teams or teams with close to our talent level is unprecedented in our University's history. We bury teams that aren't as good as us and out execute and out hustle teams close to us in talent. As mentioned previously everyone come tourney time is executed and focus ( see nc st) . The question becomes do we stick with this recruiting philosophy and enjoy our success hoping to break through it at least make it to the 2 nd weekend in March or do we add some non Nova types ( see Kyle Lowry , Fischer , Shane Clark etc) can be transferred into Nova program guys through the staff , Administration and fellow players rub off turning a kid from a tough background into a nova type? I thought Brunson would really propel us to next level and he just might but his lack of crazy athleticism and height when coupled with adjusting to college game will make his dominance be delayed by a year or so , I'm thinking he's an all be player his Jr year . Do we recruit the player with the posse??? I don't know? Jaquan Newton Phil Booth is a good example , was the staffs decision correct ? I guess time will tell , was wondering the boards thoughts?
