Josh Hart/ESPN #92 was thought to go anywhere between 25 - 50. He decided to come back but I still think he would have been drafted. Must get his 3% back to his sophomore year % of 46.
Wayne Selden #14ESPN was not drafted after this his Junior year. Paper All-American for Kansas. Say bye bye.
Vanderbilt had two players picked in the 1st round - Wade Baldwin 6-3/pg not rated in ESPN Top 100 who was from our "backyard" (St. Joe's in Metuchen,NJ) after his Jr. year and selected #17 and the other was Damien Jones #81 ESPN 6-11/JR and selected #30. Yet Vanderbilt could only go 19-14 and lost to Wichita State (11 seed) 70-50 as a 6 seed. Never liked Coach Stallings and now he's outta there.
Also from our "backyard" Archbishop Carroll Derrick Jones #30 ESPN the freak athlete didn't get drafted and he's gone after his freshman year.
Devin Williams #42 ESPN 6-9/JR from West Virginia didn't get drafted.
Jalen Reynolds 24 yr old Junior from Xavier did not get drafted. No surprise.
Xavier will lose both Edmond Summer #78 ESPN 6-5/PG/R-SO and Trevon Bluiett #46 ESPN 6-6/SG/SF/R-JR next year.
I can't believe that Providence's 6-8 Ben Bentil (not rated in ESPN Top 100) SF/JR went at #51 after a year of 21.1ppg and 7.9rpg. I was shocked that he only shot 32% from 3.
Henry Ellenson #5 ESPN 17ppg/9.7rpg/1.5bpg/but only 28% from 3 and he went at #18 after his freshman year at Marquette. Is he similar to our Omari Spellman #18 ESPN? Both need to get in better shape. Both struggle defending the perimeter, which is a must with how the NBA game is played now. Does this mean Omari is one-and-done?
Diamond Stone #6 ESPN 6-10/C/Frosh/Maryland went at #40. Should have come back.
Isaiah Whitehead #14 ESPN 6-4/PG/Seton Hall/SO/20ppg/5.5apg/42%3 was slated from 20 to 55 and went 42. Thought he would go higher but there are issues with his head and can turn it over. Was 21 years old.
Really thought that Duke transfer to Syracuse Michael Gbinije #29 ESPN6-6/PG/SG/SF had a great year and would go higher than 49. Maybe Josh Hart wouldn't have been drafted.
Demetrius Jackson #24 ESPN 6-1/PG/JR/Notre Dame who had a great year and was supposed to go between 10 to 30 but went 45. Take note Jalen!!
The NBA likes size at the PG - look at DeJonte Murray #49 ESPN 6-5/Frosh/Washington went at 29.
Malik Beasley #28 ESPN/SG/PG/6-5/Frosh/Florida State went at 19.
Denzel Valentine #98 ESPN (yes #98 - either underrated or has the Darrun Hilliard work ethic) 6-7/SF/SR from Michigan State and college player of the year by many was drafted at 14. Take note Josh Hart!
Chinanu Onuaku #75 ESPN 6-10/PF/ SOPH/ Louisville went at 37. Had a great year but should have stayed one more for those 1st round bucks.
Malcolm Brogdon #73 ESPN 6-5/SG/SF/SR/Virginia/24 years old - ACC player of the year - went at #36.
Daniel Hamilton #30 ESPN 6-7/SG/SF/SOPH/UConn - did not have a great year but went at 56. All about potential. Coach Ollie will use this to his advantage along with that 2014 Championship for recruiting. Josh Hart played so much better than this guy.
Seniors not drafted
DaJuan Coleman #14 ESPN 6-10/C/Syracuse
Cat Barber # 26 ESPN 6-3/PG/NC State - take note Jalen!
Chris Obekpa #78 ESPN 6-9/PF/St. John's - transfer to UNLV and never played his SR year. Gone!
Anthony Gill #88 ESPN 6-8/PF/SR/Virginia
Dorian Finney-Smith #18 ESPN 6-8/SF/SR/Florida
Kyle Wiltjer #19 ESPN Kentucky transfer to Gonzaga 6-9/SF/SR
Jarrod Uthoff #90 ESPN Wisconsin transfer to Iowa 7-0/SF/PF/SR
Coach Cal puts 3 into the draft - Jamal Murray top 10 Frosh 6-4/SG at #7 then Skal Labissiere #2 ESPN 6-11/
PF/Frosh at 28 and Tyler Ulis #28 ESPN 5-9/PG/SOPH at 34. Lonnie Walker can't be impressed with that.
Once again, Cal is a great recruiter but just an average coach just like Guy Lewis from Houston. Both are Hall of Fame frauds.
