i agree with the hundreds of former players who can see what fools like a burrsies cannot see. Proud of Karrem and the Big O for calling it out

Today's NBA punishes defense, leads to wide open shots, which exited simpleton fans of basketball, but for purists of the game is boring.

Yes they totally would've stopped Curry from making 30 footers look like layups 20 yrs ago. Or something.

Sure. Play defense.

Every time I check into a NBA game I see uncontested shot after uncontested shot and players barely fight for rebounds. Why should they? Possessions in the association aren't valuable as you are going to have over two hundred combined points per game over eighty plus games per year. Just make sure you fill some offensive stats and you get a job.

Give me Ben Wallace, Chauncey and Rip with the tule a dozen years ago iver this golden state team every day of the week. Of course, with these new no-defense rules I would take the Warriors.

He's the best shooter of all time. Easily. His release is like shooting a gun. It's basically not defendable because his range is out to the logo and he needs no space.

Watched the 4th quarter and OT last night. Curry does stuff I haven't really seen before. He hit a few 30 footers like they were nothing. The release and accuracy is nuts.

One of the biggest fallacies in sports is that no defense is played in the NBA. Couldn't be further from the truth. The guys today are so much bigger, faster, stronger, more athletic, and more skilled than they were when these dopes like Kareem and Big O played. Completely different game.

Steph Curry is ridiculous and a treat to watch.

Sure burrsies. Whose opinion should I trust? Your stat book or Oscar Robinson and Kareem's?

Get that sh.t otta here! Got read another box score and act like an expert on what happened even though your didn't see the game!

I know ball is trolling but still:

The average team scores 102 points per game today
1966-67: 117.4
1978-78: 110.3
1988-89: 109.2

It does actually decrease to below 100 in the 90s. But that's well established as the Jordan rules - not an increased player effort level. If a guy like Gary Payton says something i'll listen because, yes - dealing with handcheckkng did require different skills. But guys from 80s, 70s, 60s need to stfu

I watched the entire game Saturday night. Curry wasn't the only gr8 entertainment. If anyone wants to explain how to stop Russell Westbrook when he gets a head of steam, I'd love to hear it. He's too damn quick to be stopped.

Curry was 12 for 16 from 3, and few, if any, of those were uncontested. 30 years ago, how many guys could make 12 of 16 in warmups?

+ 1. Curry is fantastic to watch, but I think Westbrook attacking the basket is more enjoyable.
