what an absolute abomination of a franchise.

is RGIII the biggest bust in NFL history?

Not even close

Then say that. Is the question biggest bust ever? Or biggest bust ever considering what a team gave up for him? In that case, Herscheal Walker was a huge bust too.

Typical dipshit Dolphins fan.

No, Leaf is still a much bigger bust. Washington is just horribly run. What a joke that franchise has been for going on two decades. Daniel Snyder is absolutely reason to disavow your previous team. Burrs, needs to put that in his "rules of fandom". If your franchise is owned by Daniel Snyder you get a free pass from him. What a mess. Every year is the same as the previous.

Griffin has never been the same QB since that one black guy called him a "cornball brother". Has to be the worst black on black insult out there. Like one white guy calling another white guy "cheap".

Ricky Williams was an elite RB for a number of years.

Not for New Orleans. Again what is your criteria? Thought you said it had to do with what a team gave up for him? Now because he played for the Dolphins (big shock) he's not a bust.

Adp would be proud of that goalpost moving.

take his Dolphins career out of it....Ricky Williams had 814 carries for 3,129 yards and 16 TDs rushing and 132 catches for 1,092 yards and 2 TDs receiving for the Saints

not great but not exactly a "bust" whatsoever

they also traded him for 2 first round picks.

Leaf and J. Russell worse players than RG3. His shortcomings have as much to do with that organization as it does with his ability. His career isn't over yet, so hard to label him biggest bust at this point.

His rookie year, the same year I believe he was the offensive ROY, RGIII, led them to a playoff home game where they lost to Seattle. It was in that game, his coach left him in the game after injuring his knee. The same knee that he injured earlier in the year. The result was a torn ACL and he was never the same. Now the problem is that ACL's are very common and easy to fix. Where Burrs has it wrong above, is that the knock on RGIII is his mechanics are terrible and he does a terrible job of recognizing coverages. Now you could say that's a lack of coaching. However, this has been the same series of problems identified by a bunch of different coaches and RGIII is said to have actually regressed in his development. He's also a complete horses behind and his teammates hate him. However, the owner loves him which has been part of his problem in DC.

Weren't the redskins in the playoffs two years ago with RG3?

2012. The same year he made the Pro Bowl and was NFC ROY. Oh yea, also the same year his coach allowed him to play while being injured.

How do I have it wrong? I said the organization is just as much at fault for his regression as his ability is. That's inaccurate? I just think there is enough blame to go around.

Jamarcus is the worst. Was the 1st overall pick to an established NFL franchise. Tim Couch was drafted to an expansion team, Akili Smith, RG3, Ryan Leaf, Joey Harrington were not #1 picks.

Akili smith had 5 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in his four year career. He completed 46% of his passes.

By comparison, RG III has 40 td and 23 interceptions.

Is he out for the year or something? I heard Kirk Cousins was named Week 1 starter as RGIII is recovering from a concussion, but I think he has this year to make a comeback of sorts. DJax, Garcon and A. Morris are competent weapons.

Gruden has named Cousins as the starter for the 2015 season.

Ok catching up.

I would say Cousins has earned the right to be the starter for now based on last year's numbers, which weren't terrible. He put up 285 yards per game (61.8%) and threw 10 TDs and 9 INTs. QB rating of 86.4.

But Cousins is not a stud and if he struggles, the possibility he gets benched for Griffin is significant.

Cousins 2015 salary: $778,172
Griffin III 2015 salary: $6,179,713

Cousins is awful. he turns the ball over like every 28 dropbacks or something

I think it's worse than that. Maybe I did it wrong, but added his pass attempts, rushes, and times sacked then divided by his total picks/fumbles and it came to 1/17.8.

Are the rumors true about him bring his wife to the strip club, team dinner, his mom and sister are at every practice, his sister does his braids when he's not playing, etc?

Herm Edwards said they should have cut him in the offseason and he could have taken Sanchez's place on the Birds. No thanks. Pretty sure he doesn't fit Kelly's "Culture".

Fixed.

For a franchise trying to deal with being accused of having a racist name... they go and railroad a black quarterback. Brilliant.

In the end no team cuts a first round QB out of the blue for a $6.1M cap hit. Obviously RGIII is being petulant or whatever and the coaches are annoyed but this will blow over and he'll be starting by week 3 or whenever Cousins takes a shot to the ribs and is out.

Rg3 was actually good for a season or two. Guys like kijana carter, Jamarcus Russell, etc..., were never any good.

I'd still say RGIII gives them a much better shot to win, if he wasn't such a d-bag, seems like bad for chemistry, which being the Redskins, is terrible all around. Cousins is sort of like a better version of Matt Barkley. (Mediocre backup quality for Cousins, Barkley will be out of the league soon.) People think Cousins is better than he is because he plays in DC. RGIII with his arm can at least fully utilize DeSean's abilities.

One season. They he turned everything on his head and made it all about him, demanding he only run certain plays, throwing passive aggressive statements out there in press conferences and isolating himself from teammates, etc.

The team, under the current offense, will be better off with Kirk.

Love the latest drama about the new GM's wife. Tweeted at an ESPN reporter, "how many bj's did you have to give to get that story". A few weeks ago, the wife also tweeted at her, calling her the husbands "side piece". Then, Redskins issue statement that it came from a fake account, then after that, GM admits it's true, and wife issues apology. Remember, this is the same guy who left Seattle and 49er front offices after some shady relationships with female employees for both of those teams. That has been conveniently ignored in Washington press because they are so desperate for a "football guy" in that organization.

The Redskins might be the worst franchise in professional sports. I actually feel sorry for their fans. There is no chance they'll win anything of significance as long as Mr. Snyder owns that team. He sucks on every possible level.
