Anywho, Alexandra Wasik is still in the lightning interrupted pole vault competition. She already broke the school record and if she clears her next height, she will almost surely make it to Eugene.

Ellison advances after setting a personal best, Akande misses out. Great career for her still.

By my count, 6 Nova athletes advanced to Nationals. Lipari, Piccirrilo, Tiernan, Williamsz, Ellison, and Walden. Not bad. A few more just on the outside looking in. Lipari seems like clearly the best shot at a natl champ. But weird things can happen in the 1500m. Williamsz gets into a kicker's race and is a good spot coming off the final turn and who knows what may happen?

Piccirillo has lowered her personal best by over six seconds this season and about five seconds in her last two races. If she hasn't yet peaked, she could be in the race at the end.
