I can't follow his logic. Paraphrase: ' Villanova is the better team and would win a seven game series. But Miami will win tonight because they are long and athletic.' Can't have it both ways. If we win does he say "well I said they were the better team.'

If you have a couple of minutes, read this thread from Syracusefan that ran during our Miami game. It starts off with venom, mudslinging and pure disparagement toward Villanova, Jay Wright and Arch and ends with total capitulation that Villanova is the real deal. It's amazing how much Syracuse fans dislike Arch. Why? This is the school that produced Devendorf!

Amazingly, there were only 44 total rebounds up for grabs tonight, as the two teams shot a combined 59.8%. Over the course of the season, our games had an average of 75 rebounds collected.

As Jim Larranaga said in his postame presser, the type of shooting that was on display tonight was an anomaly. There was nothing that the defense can do, about some of the shots that were going in, from Jenkins and Arch in particular. That's over 55% shooting from the Cats in 5 straight halves. Just amazing offensive efficiency. Two-pointers, three-pointers, foul shots. They're playing their best ball at the right time.

We're going to need to shoot at a +40% clip from deep again on Saturday, to take down the Jayhawks. GO CATS

That was about as good I've seen this team play.....EVER!! Too many superlatives to list. Everyone contributed, everyone defended. Amazing performance. If we play like this we can beat anyone. Amazing senior leadership from Chef and Arch!! I hope everyone is ready for Saturday....it's going to be amazing!!

This one's a real head scratcher for me, but Army coach Zack Spiker, who had a losing record there, apparently has accepted the Drexel job!! I would imagine a lot of Drexel alums are not too happy right now about this hire.

Fabulously efficient tonight. 92 points with only 15 threes taken. Thought the highlights of the game showing us hitting threes missed a huge point. While the threes were great our midrange game and ability to get it to Ochefu was a huge reason for the size of victory. The 19 free throws weren't the result of end game fouling. Just incredible.

Think about that for a moment. A very good/great head coach with a great team, and very good athletic players in the sweet 16 couldn't stop us. This reminds me of the quote that Ricky Pitino said years ago "Villanova made a mockery of whatever we tried to do on defense."

As the season progresses they have retreated to their collective dark hole unhappy with the teams successes. No posts or intermittent complaints about the beer is too cold. No reversal of sentiment. Just a funk as evidenced by their absence. Perhaps they have found a new home at BC, Pitt, Rutgers or another dysfunctional program.

Both teams are very long. But it is a sloppy game. Guard play doesn't seem to be a strength on either end.

Kansas is a good team, but doesn't seem to be the same type of dominant squad they were in 2008 when we lost to them in the NCAA's.

Miami just had no answers once we busted them out of their pack line defense. Ochefu silenced all critics who said he can't go against other big men his size. Our zone....OUR ZONE!....my god who'd have thought we would shut down anyone with our zone? Amazing.

Came across this, and first of all, as much as I love to win, I hate to see good players and good coaches lose and end their season/career like this. Second, what kind of questions are these guys asking? I mean, you have two seniors who have had great careers, and you choose to just ask them questions that basically come out to "you guys got the crap beat out of you, how does that feel?" I feel for the kids. Two great players who played great games, if they had beaten us I would have rooted for them all the way.

My wife and I are fortunate enough to own a condo on Grand Cayman Island. We don't get down there too often, especially during the college BB season. In fact, the only Game I ever watched while we were down there was the Pitt Elite Eight game in 2009. Guess where we're going Saturday morning?
