Now 12-3 Beat URI today. Why should we care? I think it was a very good win for the Cats when we beat hawks in their house by 14. Three losses Fla,. Nova , VCU. I don't think many Villanovans think it was a good win. Maybe because we always beat them. But they are a very decent team this season.

This place is beautiful. Too bad the Pavilion can't be like this. Go Nova!

Hershey hung close with Milton Hershey (tied after 3 I believe) and then Milton Hershey blew them out in the 4th. Milton Hershey is 10-0 and very small and quick and wore them down.

Painter was great to watch!! He must have had 25 pts. Probably 15 boards. Bunch of blocks and one of the sickest tomahawk jams I've seen in high school. It was awesome. Brought the house down.
What I really loved was his motor and attitude. Never sulked when his team's guards struggled against the MHS press and constant pressure. He came back to get the ball at midcourt and was a good outlet to beat the press. I loved where he kept the ball up high and never had the littler guys strip. He had terrific outlet passes for a high school kid as well. Grabbed the ball with 2 hands on the boards and got it out.
His FT shooting is fantastic. I bet he was 8 for 9 or 8 for 10. Nice soft stroke. That is huge as big guys will get to to the line plenty. Probably the only area he struggled was outside shooting. Not sure how good he is with this but took two 3's and missed (1 an airball) and missed a few other 15 footers. But he had great moves with the ball and 1 time dribbled coast to coast and had an And 1 bucket. Loved how he kept yelling let's go D! Passion is great at this age b/c it shows they want to play. It's a shame his team doesn't offer much help. When he gets a hold of our strength and conditioning , this kid will be a BE player. Glad we got him

We went down 7 early in the second half after Jenkins hedged but then left Dunham alone on a ball screen. I expected footage of a vintage vein-popping screamfest from Jay in our huddle, but FOX offered no video of any kind. In any event, we came out and went on our big run right after that. Any insights from those of you in the building as to what that timeout looked like?

Who would have thought that in the second week of Jan Bridges would be our most important FR? We have had 4 VERY IMPRESSIVE BE wins and Booth and Brunson really haven't played all that well. We went into a Top 25 opponent's house and shot horribly from 3. Our big man who went 20 and 18 the prior game was a non factor because of the refs, our SR leader couldn't buy a shot and we still win. As great as we are playing Booth and Brunson seem to be struggling with their roles. Luckily we have 3 veterans who at different times have placed this team or their back. What makes us so tough to defend is you can take away 1 or 2 of our top options but we still find a way. I had a lousy weekend, a dear friend of mine passed away suddenly Friday. This win put a smile on my face. Like Robin Williams at the end of Dead Poet Society "thank you boys, thank you".

Bridges played like a freshman in the first half, and like a man in the second.

I don't know if this has been said before, but I'm pretty sure that we should enjoy Hart while we can.

Can't recall the last time that happened but it's rare. Who'd have predicted 4 wins to start BE play against these teams after we lost to OK and Virginia...especially the varied ways with which we had to win?

Everything against us with foul trouble, top 20 team on the road, nothing from Danny and Jalen and still we out tough them . The difference between this team and prior years is we can get to the rim when three not falling. Josh Hart is the best player no one nationally talks about

we held Butler 31.5 points below their season average thanks to controlling tempo, playing some tough defense and hitting the boards. Very few second chances even with DO and DR in foul trouble all game.

And we will be #7 come Monday.

Heading there tomorrow night. Just want to make sure there is one tomorrow???. Couldnt find schedule.
