Calipari Suggests Making SEC Tourney a Preseason Tourney

Cal believes the regular season SEC winner should get an NCAA autobid. He would like to move the SEC tournament from March to November. Each team would play a few non conference games, then play in the SEC tournament, then back to non conference games until January. I think this is an interesting suggestion that will not gain traction, but I do think it is ridiculous that winning the conference tournament results in an autobid. Moving the conference tournament to the beginning of the season is probably the only way to create excitement if you're going to elminate the autobid.

Forget for a moment that the suggestion is coming from Calipari - what do others think of this concept?
